Angels Qualify For Playoffs After Win Over Mormons

The Angels and Mormons met to decide the final playoff spot in the Modern Day Division. With all of the hype, the teams came out tense and played sloppy. Both teams combined for three turnovers in the first two minutes of the game.
The teams battled back and forth with the lead until middway through the second quarter when the Angels ended the 1st half on a 10-2 run (24-17).
Mike Makesum, the star for the Angels, ended the first half without a field goal (0-5), yet his team suprisingly held a solid lead.
The Angels built on that lead early in the third quarter as Morgan Nicely rattled off eight straight points for the Angels. They held a 39-25 lead late in the third quarter. The difference in the game came down to the balance for the Angels. Four of their five players ended in double figures - Shosted was just under with eight.
Norman, for the Angels was the All Star of the game. He had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Victor, for the Mormons, had 14 points to lead all scorers.
