Flaming Swords Down the Templers

The Flaming Swords win a close contest as both teams have three scorers in double figures. The Flaming Swords found themselves up by two points with just a minute and a half left in the ball game. They converted on their last two possessions, including a game clinching three pointer by Jaxon Grand to finish off the win 56-49.

The Flaming Swords started off the game on a hot streak. They opened a 20-8 lead early in the second quarter, but the Templers would not give up. They fought back and found themselves within striking distance at half time (23-28). They took the lead for a brief moment at the 6:30 mark in the fourth quarter, but that would be their last lead as the Flaming Swords took over the game.

The player of the game was Rueben for the Flaming Swords. He had 18 points and 6 rebounds. Grand and Mcgruff also were in double figures with 15, and 13 points.
The Templers also had three players in double figures: Iliad (15), Mick (14), and White (10).

Hey Jason,
Love the blog. I couldn't help laughing as I read some of the player names. I thought Mike Makesum, Xalo Charles, and Ulric Fumanchu were great names. It's good to see first hand the LDS basketball talent. I'm sure there will be some fantastic games this season.
